Description
1994 Topps Baseball is the final flagship set to include 792 cards. Distributed in two series, the set has a massive checklist but not a lot in the way of key cards. The set also has very few insert sets.
Both 1994 Topps Baseball Series 1 and Series two have 396 cards. Player cards have a white border that gives way to a frame that resembles a home plate. The player’s name is written in a handwriting-styled font. The team and position are also at the bottom of the card.
Among the subsets in 1994 Topps Baseball are four-player Prospects, Future Star, Measures of Greatness, Draft Picks and Coming Attractions.
For the third year in a row, Gold cards parallel the base set. The four checklist cards are replaced with players who just missed the base set cut.
Black Gold cards also return. These inserts are inserted directly in packs as well as through various redemption cards. Redemptions were available for groups of 11, 22 and 44 cards.
